“The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon.”
– Brandon Sanderson, The Way of Kings
I am no storyteller, nor do I weave words together to form a beautiful piece of poetry. This website is not a repository of my writing prowess, which I sadly believe I do not have. I am merely a run-of-the-mill book blogger who loves to travel when finances allow.
This website started as an unfocused blog, a place to share my literary, gustatory, and traveling adventures under the name Desul(s)tory (obviously, I am not good at word plays). It has morphed into consisting primarily book reviews, with travel photologs on the side. Hence, a name change was in order, and The Travelling Bibliophile was born.
As a casual and sporadic book blogger, I do not claim to have high brow knowledge or taste in books. My primary hope is that whoever reads my book reviews will use them instead as a guide and then read the book themselves to form their own opinions.
So whether you’ve come upon my little corner of the web because we know each other personally or you’ve somehow stumbled upon it accidentally, I thank you for taking the time to read this!
