Three days before the onset of 2015, I happened upon this on social media —
Last year, I joined a book club in a bid to increase the amount of books I read in a year. I think I managed to read fifteen (more or less) in 2014, but I can definitely do much better.
(In all honesty, I don’t even know why I want to have a lot on my plate since 2015 is going to be packed for me. But I love books, and I love having a goal I can measurably achieve.)
This list got my insides quivering in excitement, and I set about creating a spreadsheet to map out books that can tick more than one of the categories. There’s fifty-two in all, and a book a week is too much for me, so a book that ticks two or three should do it. I will most likely have to alter some categories (like the ‘book your mom loves’ because she’s not a big reader and she reads a lot of inspirational stuff, which — meh) but everything else looks good. Oh, except for the ‘book with bad reviews’: I keep thinking of Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey, which I both attempted despite the bad reviews, and they were oh so HORRIBLE.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a grand time welcoming 2015, and wishing you success in whatever you’re planning to achieve this year!
